Houston Physicians’ Hospital’s Emergency Treatment Area

Effective October 1, 2025, Houston Physicians’ Hospital will operate an Emergency Treatment Area (ETA) in place of a traditional Emergency Department. The ETA is staffed by ACLS-certified Registered Nurses who deliver care using physician-approved clinical protocols and consult with an on-call physician by phone when needed. A physician will not be physically on-site, and you may not receive an in-person physician exam during your visit.
