Dr. Dwayne Dunbar is a dedicated physician specializing in pain management, committed to offering compassionate care and improving the quality of life for his patients. Born and raised in Huntsville, Texas, Dr. Dunbar developed a profound interest in medicine. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin, where his exceptional academic performance placed him in the top 10% of his class. Furthering his medical education, he simultaneously earned a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Texas at Houston Medical School and a Master’s in Business Administration. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Tennessee in 2017 and continued his medical studies with an anesthesia residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston until 2022. His passion for pain management led him to the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where he received subspecialty training from some of the most renowned pain physicians in the country.

Dr. Dunbar is a respected member of both the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) and the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS). He has made significant contributions to the field of pain management through various publications, including abstracts, manuscripts, and poster presentations. He specializes in a range of techniques such as multimodal pain management, fluoroscopic injections, ultrasound-guided procedures, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulators, minimally invasive pain surgery, and regenerative medicine to manage pain in his patients.

In his free time, Dr. Dunbar is an avid weight training enthusiast and a passionate fan of the Texas Longhorns. His interests in sports and fitness reflect his belief in the importance of maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle, a philosophy that is reflected in his approach to patient care.
