Houston Physician’s Hospital spinal neurosurgeon Greg Bonnen, MD, has been named among “50 spine surgeons to know” by Becker’s Spine review. This prestigious list spotlights spine surgeons who have notable professional accomplishments.
Dr. Bonnen is board-certified in neurological surgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals in Galveston, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Bonnen is skilled in diagnosing a variety of spinal disorders, brain tumors, and nerve conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome. He is the only physician in the Clear Lake Area to perform deep brain stimulation stage 1 to treat patients with Parkinson’s Disease and other motion-related disorders.
Dr. Bonnen is also a Texas state senator and has written a bill that allows some physicians to bypass prior authorization work.
