Joint Solutions Center

Houston Physician's Hospital’s Joint Solutions Center

We believe the key to better outcomes is an unwavering commitment to superior education. Promoting transparency and knowing exactly what to expect each step of the way helps reduce stress and anxiety while preparing you for a smooth recovery. The Joint Solutions Center at Houston Physicians’ Hospital focuses on patient care and clinical outcomes. Once complete, many patients recommend us to their friends and family due to the result and experience from their stay. Houston Physicians’ Hospital is proud to offer a unique program that encourages the recovery and discharge of patients from the hospital in one to three days after surgery. Our program was designed by surgeons in collaboration with our specially trained staff and input from patients. We strive to enable our patients to be able to walk as early as the same day as surgery and resume normal activity in six to 12 weeks.

Symptoms of Joint Problems

Symptoms of joint problems include:
  • Pain or stiffness in the muscles surrounding a joint
  • Difficulty moving joints
  • Swelling of the area around the joint

Before Joint Surgery

Before surgery, patients will attend a pre-operative class where information will be provided on what to expect before, during, and after their joint replacement surgery. You will be encouraged to have a friend or family member act as a support coach as they go through the joint replacement process. Spacious, private suites are reserved for joint replacement patients, so you may be in a dedicated setting along with other patients undergoing similar surgeries. Our specially trained staff will work exclusively within the joint center and with each individual preparing for surgery. In a very accommodating environment promoting wellness and success, patients will be able to exercise and interact together, making the “group” approach to recuperation helpful and fun. All patients will enjoy amenities which make the program unique and will be encouraged to wear their own clothing instead of hospital gowns to make the entire experience more comfortable and relaxed.
